Before Your Appointment
Yes. We are an appointment-based bridal boutique because we believe every bride deserves a personalized styling experience. Before your appointment, your bridal stylist will get to know your wedding vision, personal style, venue, budget, and preferences before hand-selecting gowns for you to try on.
We offer bridal appointments at both our Chico and Yuba City locations.
Our Bridal Styling Appointment is 90 minutes.
During this time, your stylist will guide you through the entire dress shopping experience, including selecting gowns, discussing customization options, and styling your complete bridal look with accessories.
Most of our brides find their dress during their first appointment.

Yes. We understand that many brides have children and family responsibilities.
We simply ask that children remain supervised throughout the appointment so everyone can enjoy the experience safely.
Yes, photos are welcome.
That said, we often recommend waiting until you've narrowed your favorites before taking pictures. Cell phone cameras don't always capture the true fit, color, sparkle, or overall feeling of a gown, and we've seen brides become overwhelmed by reviewing too many photos after their appointment.
When you've found styles you're seriously considering, your stylist will happily help capture photos and videos that highlight the details you love most. Our goal is to help you stay focused on how you feel in the dress, not just how it looks on a screen.
Remember, the right dress is often something you feel before you see it in a photograph.
Your bridal experience begins long before you arrive at the boutique.
After scheduling your appointment, we'll gather information about your wedding vision, style preferences, budget, venue, and timeline to help us prepare for your visit. If you've never tried on a wedding dress before, don't worry if the sample isn't exactly your size. Our stylists are trained to clip and style gowns so you can visualize how the dress will look when ordered to your measurements.
We also offer a Sample Loaner Program for select styles. If you've fallen in love with a gown but feel seeing it in a different size would help you make your decision, we may be able to request a sample from the designer. Availability varies by designer and style, and a small fee applies for this service.

In many cases, yes. Depending on the designer, customization options may include changing necklines, adding sleeves, adjusting trains, modifying straps, raising necklines, or creating other design changes.

Yes. We recommend shopping for your wedding dress when you're ready to begin planning your wedding rather than waiting to reach a specific goal weight.
At Always Elegant Bridal, we understand that many brides are actively working toward fitness goals, taking GLP-1 medications, planning surgeries, or anticipating other body changes before their wedding day. That's why we encourage open and honest conversations with your stylist throughout the shopping process.
When it comes time to order your gown, your stylist will review the designer's size chart with you and help determine the best size based on your current measurements, wedding timeline, and any anticipated changes. Every bride's situation is unique, and we believe these decisions are best made together.
In most cases, it is easier for a gown to be taken in during alterations than let out, as many wedding gowns have limited seam allowance available for significant size increases.

Pricing & Alterations
Wedding dresses at Always Elegant Bridal typically range from $1,199–$5,000. Most of our made-to-order bridal gowns fall between $1,500–$3,500. Our Love Collection offers beautiful off-the-rack gowns beginning around $699.
Yes. We offer a payment plan option that allows brides to secure their gown while making 4 payments over time. Your stylist can explain our payment plan during your appointment.
Almost every wedding dress requires alterations to achieve the best fit. We typically recommend beginning alterations approximately 8–10 weeks before your wedding date and planning for multiple fittings.
Alterations are an important part of achieving the perfect fit, and we recommend including them in your overall wedding attire budget.
While every bride's alterations are unique, most of our brides invest approximately $500–$800 for standard alterations. Costs can vary depending on the gown, the fit adjustments needed, and any customizations or design changes you choose to make.
Always Elegant Bridal partners with talented independent seamstresses who specialize in bridal alterations. Because they operate independently, they determine their own pricing and timelines.

Private appointments are perfect for larger groups, surprise dress reveals, VIP experiences, or brides who simply prefer a more private setting while shopping for their wedding dress. Availability is limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
To help maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all of our brides and guests, we kindly ask that outside food, beverages, and alcohol not be brought into the boutique.
If you're looking to make your appointment extra special, ask us about our Enhanced Bridal Experience, which includes a celebratory toast, sweet treats, and additional time to celebrate with your guests.

We understand that life happens and plans can change.To reserve your appointment time and dedicate one of our expert stylists to your experience, we require a credit card on file when booking.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
Providing advance notice allows us to offer that appointment time to another bride and ensures our stylists can best serve all of our guests.If something unexpected comes up, please contact our team as soon as possible. We're always happy to help whenever we can.
